Carpay vs. Blytz
Built for BHPH. Not Adapted to It.
Blytz found BHPH while looking for a market for text-to-pay. Carpay was built inside a BHPH dealership by the dealer living the collections problem. Here is what that difference looks like on your lot.
The short version
- A BHPH company. Founded by a BHPH dealer, staffed by BHPH people.
- Five ways to pay — app, web, text, phone, cash.
- A portal that speaks weekly payers, side notes, deferrals and aging.
- Blytz sells the same pitch to auto finance, consumer finance and property management.

Us vs. Them
Same checkmarks on a feature list. Different center of gravity.
Origin
The product came out of the problem
Brandon Cavalier was running a BHPH lot — carrying the paper, chasing the payments — when he built Carpay. Blytz started with text-to-pay and went looking for markets.
Focus
A torque wrench, not a Swiss Army knife
A general platform can be configured for BHPH. Carpay starts there — weekly payers, failed autopays, side notes, deferrals, aging and recovery are the default, not the edge case.
Channels
Text to pay is one good answer
Not the only one. Some customers want an app, some the web, some call after hours, some walk in with cash Friday. Every path should end in “paid.”
The app Blytz doesn’t have
Your customers already like paying us
A borrower who can pay from their phone at 11pm on a Sunday is a borrower who doesn’t become a repo. Blytz has no consumer app — text links only.
