Anyone Know a Good Repo Company in ___? The Carpay Repossession Company Directory, with a ZIP and company search box above a map of the United States
Collections & Recovery

Anyone know a good repo company in ___?

A free directory to help BHPH dealers find repo companies by ZIP, town, company name, or state.

Your customer moved three states away. The car went with him. His payment consistency did not.

Your usual repo guy covers your county and the two next to it. He doesn’t cover wherever this is.

So now you’re looking for somebody you’ve never worked with, in a market you don’t know, to go get a car you’d very much like back.

Where the answer usually lives

Most dealers start by asking around. Somebody at the auction knows somebody. A guy you used to work with has a name. And if you’re in the BHPH Facebook groups, you’ve seen the post a hundred times: anyone know a good repo company in X?

The replies are usually helpful. A couple of names, a phone number, a “DM me.”

Then the thread sinks.

A few months later somebody needs the same thing and asks the same question, because finding the old answer is harder than asking again.

The knowledge is out there. It just isn’t anywhere you can go back to.

A place to go back to

That’s why we built the Carpay Repossession Company Directory.

It includes more than 2,200 repossession companies across all 50 states and DC, covering the entire country.

2,200+ repossession companies in all 50 states and DC, with a browse-by-state list of company counts

Put in a ZIP or a town and you get the companies nearest to it, ranked by distance. If somebody already gave you a name and you need a number, you can look the company up directly. You can also browse by state.

Three ways to use the directory: search by ZIP or town, search by company name, or browse by state

It’s built around the one question you have when a car turns up somewhere unfamiliar and you need to get it back: who can I send?

It isn’t an endorsement of every company listed. You still have to decide who you want to work with. It just gives you a much better place to start.

Free, with nothing attached

The directory is free. There’s no account to create and no email to hand over. Repo companies can’t pay to be listed or ranked higher, and results are sorted by distance.

They can also ask to be added, send corrections, fill in details, or ask to be removed. Dealers can just use it.

Why it has to stay current

Repo companies open, close, merge, move, and change numbers. A list that doesn’t keep up turns back into an old Facebook thread with better formatting.

So we’re going to keep maintaining it, reviewing corrections as they come in and updating listings when something changes. If you search a market you know and something looks off, we want to hear about it.

Your regular repo company is a relationship you built over years.

This is for every county where you haven’t built one yet.
